The Itsy Bitsy Spider

You've probably noticed that I've been putting several ideas for Halloween costumes out there lately. I've compiled a list of trendy costumes for this year and have also come up with ways to incorporate items you may already own (such as cowboy boots and military jackets) into your costume as well (you can also try typing "Halloween" or "costume" into my blog's search engine to see some more DIY costume ideas that I've been suggesting since last Halloween). All of these costume ideas are perfect for Halloween parties and Trick or Treating. But don't worry, I haven't forgotten about those of you who have plans for Halloween that don't involve costumes. Whether your plans for Halloween involve a sleepover with the girls, a night of horror movies, or handing out candy to Trick or Treaters, you can still get into the spirit of Halloween with you wardrobe. Last year, my recommendation for this was a comic book-inspired tee. This year, I'm going to be writing about spider accessories. I'll admit, I do have a fear of spiders myself. However, I came across some spider jewelry on Betsey Johnson's website recently. I actually thought these particular spiders were cute, so I naturally couldn't resist writing an article about this.

I hope you liked my creepy crawly finds. Wearing these spider or webbed clothing and accessories will be a perfect way to celebrate Halloween without a costume. You can expect to recieve compliments from everyone from your friends you invite over (or visit) to the trick or treaters you give candy to. If you do decide you want to wear a costume at the last minute, these spider accessories would be great for going as a witch, Elvira, Vampira, or a mummy. Let me know if you have anymore ideas about any kind of non-costume items you can wear. Happy Halloween!

Spider = FTW xD

What are you dressing up for Halloween? I dressed up as Marilyn Monroe. :D

Hehe, I started a fad at my school! xD (long long long long knee socks! yay!)

I'm glad you like the spiders. :)

I'm not dressing up for Halloween this year. My Halloween plans consist of handing out candy to Trick or Treaters and maybe watching a few horror movies. So I'm just going to wear some jeans and a cute (orange) t-shirt. But your Marilyn Monroe costume sounds cool. Good choice! Maybe I'll dress up next year.

Congratulations on starting the long knee sock trend at your school! That is so awesome! :D It's always cool when you see a fad that you know you started. I remember back when I was a teen, I used to wear body glitter everyday during the summer. Then one morning I walked into the camp program that I attended (it was a day camp only) and noticed that several of the other girls were wearing body glitter, just like me. I felt like a celebrity! Now I rarely see anybody wearing body glitter. I don't even wear it anymore. Maybe I should see if I can revive body glitter once again this summer! :)

I'm terrified of real spiders too. But I thought these spiders were more cute than scary. :)

Glad you like the spider socks and leggings. I'm also glad to hear you're not scared of real spiders. I imagine the world would be pretty crazy if everyone was (I always have to call me fiance over to set the spiders free outside every time I see them in our house. So glad he's not afraid of them too!).

Selena was my first J.Lo movie. I became a fan of both Jennifer Lopez and Selena herself after I saw the movie. I don't think I even saw The Cell, actually. But I did think she was great in The Wedding Planner, Angel Eyes, Maid In Manhattan, and Monster-in-Law. Those were all good movies.

Beckyxoxo: Hi Beckyxoxo! Thank you for commenting on my blog. I'm glad you liked my Halloween finds.

Remy Ma: Good to see you here again. It's actually not that hard to find them. I'm good at searching other websites for this kind of stuff. It's actually harder to find the time to update my blog.
